It's been a vogue comment to mention how awful the last Beatles-inspired musical was, and sure, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is truly among the worst ideas ever filmed. Across the Universe seeks to explore the 1960s through the ambitious experimentation of the Beatles music and through the lens of director Julie Taymor, who seems to have copped a trick or two from Baz Luhrmann. Not that it means this won't - or can't - be amazing.

Across the Universe is finally here on September 20th. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
