thanks you friends....for all the overwhelmingly generous comments. i was happy to read them, while pinky was elated. every comment made her turn a new shade of pink i guess. she has appreciated all the comments, and thanks you for the same!!! and thankfully none of you asked if this incident was genuine or a piece of fiction.

i am back for the weekend, after a hectic trip to mumbai and aurangabad. came back to surat this morning, and its late night, i am at home in baroda. before i go to bed, felt like writing a bit, nothing specific.

as my train stopped just before ankleshwar today, suddenly our compartment was flooded with fireflies. first they were few, and then increased in number. it was a wonderful sight, all of them twinkling bright yellow, i wish rohan was there too. a few kids did enjoy running after them, and even caught them.

and yes, another unusual scene took place this evening as i left my office, in an auto, for the surat railway station. out of nowhere, a peacock appeared to cross the road, a bike rider swerved on one side, and almost fell in order to save the peacock. the peacock was totally confused, getting caught in traffic, fortunately the traffic halted, the bird was shooed away, i hope i went away safe. never seen something like this before, a peacock in th emidst of traffic, in a city.

i am settling down, will move into my small rental place on monday evening. you all are welcome to surat...its known for textiles, diamonds, and a delectable sweet called "ghaari"!
